There is less than a week left until the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight takes place in Las Vegas. And as the fight gets closer and closer, the two fighters are speaking up a lot more about what is to come.

Mayweather had the following to say during a conference call with MMA junkie:

“I’m taking the bigger risk,” Mayweather said. “I have the 49-0 record. And when a fighter has lost before, if he loses again, it’s nothing. He lost before. But when a fighter has been dominating for 20-something years, never lost, everything is on the line.”

Mayweather goes on to say:

“My legacy. My boxing record. Everything is on the line. It’s all about taking risks,” Mayweather said. “And I wouldn’t be where I’m at, if I didn’t take risks. So I don’t mind putting my 49-0 on the line. I don’t mind putting everything on the line for this fight. I feel like it’s worth it.”

Mayweather is 49-0 and the fact that this is his last fight of his career, it can be a bit embarrassing if he were to lose this fight. But Mayweather isn't putting too much focus on it:

“That’s not really my focus. Every day, I tell myself I’m a winner. I was born to be a winner at life – not just in the ring, but I was born to be a winner – so whatever I do, I try to give it a 100 percent, and I try to push myself to the limit."

Guess we're all going to have to wait until the 26th to see how it all plays out.
