Lil Wayne wants fans to know that he's still going to hold them down with a Carter 5 release. But he also wants them to understand that when they get it, they're going to have everything they expect and more on their hands, so he's making sure he waits until the right moment in time.

Before heading into the weekend Wayne got on the horn with Q93.3FM from Germany and talked a bit about his experience touring Europe these days and anticipation for his return to New Orleans to head Lil' WeezyAna Fest on August 25. Aside from his continuous trot on the road, Wayne has also managed to get his recording in, and thus, he was also able to touch on the release of his latest mixtape In Tune We Trust. But of course, the Young Money rap great's following never got complete in regards to Wayne's catalog due to the infamous hold on Carter 5's release, so as has come to be expected with any Wayne interview, questions about the project lingered.

Wayne says that fans shouldn't be worried about C5 going the road of a Detox. While the long anticipated album might be on the shelf, he has by no means shelved it. “Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V,” said Wayne. “I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give them Carter V the wrong way.”

While Wayne remains in a legal quagmire as it pertains to his label status with Birdman, that hasn't tied his hands from being able to give those closest to him a listen to the work. Aside from jailed pharma bro Martin Shkreli getting his hands on a copy, his artist Lil Twist claims to have heard the CD and he attests to it being something the world won't regret stopping for. “C5 is f**king crazy. I can’t wait ‘til y’all hear it,” Twist said in a recent interview. “I’m the only person outside of him that got it on my phone. It’s f**king crazy. It’s berserk. He got a lot of features on there. I can say he working with Mannie Fresh on the album again. So, that’s gonna be good for the people.”
