A scrawny carjacker recently learned the hard way that you don't take anybody's kindness for weakness, particularly when there are more of them than there is of you, and they are bigger than you.

Football practice had just finished near the Loma Linda Community Center in Albuquerque and players were taking off for the evening when 21-year-old Angelo Martinez approached three of the jocks for a lift. The young men agreed and Martinez joined them for the ride, but as the car approached the spot he wanted to be dropped off, he changed his destination. This reportedly happened a couple of times before they finally came to a stop he was set on exiting at. But it was at the point of the stop, that Martinez suddenly pulled a firearm out and demanded that everybody leave and walk away from the vehicle.

Little did the group of guys know at the moment, that Martinez's gun was fake. But they would find out soon enough thanks to the reflexes of one of the men, who pounced on Martinez upon seeing him fumble the weapon. The result was a bloodied, bruised and bumpy face for the criminal. They'd restrain him until police came, at which point he was searched and stripped of a knife and a note that reportedly read "Give me the keys to your wip and a nobody get heart. I know where you live so don’t make me kill.”
