A judge released Meek Mill on his own recognizance on Friday (August 18) after he was detained in New York City the previous night for felony reckless endangerment charges. Aside from being released, Meek's felony charges were reduced to two misdemeanors: reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Meek also has to complete a complete a driving improvement program before his next court date in October.

Meek was initially detained by police while shooting a music video in Harlem with A$AP Ferg, and Instagram videos showed the Philly rapper popping wheelies with no helmet. According to police, a witness called 911 to report the situation, identifying Meek as the person on the motorcycle.
