Previously, PayPal released a blog post noting that they would not be allowing hate groups to use their platform in any way that could possibly harm other groups of people. Now, Apple CEO Tim Cook has sent out an internal message to his employees addressing the recent events that have transpired over the last week.

His note literally asked people to look beyond their political views and unite to go against the “cancer” of bigotry and hate. The note said, “We must not witness or permit such hate and bigotry in our country, and we must be unequivocal about it. This is not about the left or the right, conservative or liberal. It is about human decency and morality. I disagree with the president and others who believe that there is a moral equivalence between white supremacists and Nazis, and those who oppose them by standing up for human rights. Equating the two runs counter to our ideals as Americans." Cook also made it clear that Apple would be donating $1 million to the Anti-Defamation League as well as the Southern Poverty Law Center. Along with that, Apple will be including a feature on iTunes that will allow users to make contributions to the SPLC.
