Eazy-E's widow, Tomica Woods-Wright, has taken action against her stepson Lil Eazy for trademark infringement over the use of the Ruthless Records name. According to reports, Tomica Woods-Wright is suing Lil Eazy for unlawfully conducting business under the Ruthless Records name, a name/company she has owned since Eazy's passing in 1995.

The suit filed on August 16 claims Lil Eazy and his business partner Arnold White operate "www.ruthlessrecordsinc.com" which sells branded merchandise and promotes concerts. The suit also makes mention of Lil Eazy attempting to trademark "Ruthless Records Inc." in 2016 but the request was denied due to the similarities of Ruthless Records.
