Since 2009 Drake has had a song on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 430 weeks in a row. Now after 3 years shy of a decade, that streak has ended. On the date chart of August 26th, Drake will not appear.
Now, what does this mean? How did this happen?
According to Drake, More Life was a playlist and he plans to release a new album in the fall. There wasn't a lot of promotion for More Life other than the single Fake Love. But as we all know fall is Drake's season. Whether or not the new album is completed, we can be sure that Drake will return to the charts and have us all in our feeling this fall/winter.
