In his new music video for "Moonlight", Jay-Z remakes the TV sitcom 'Friends' with an all-black all-star cast. Featuring Issa Rae (HBO's Insecure), Tessa Thompson (Creed), Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show), Lakeith Stanfield (Get Out), Tiffany Haddish (Girl's Trip, The Carmichael Show) and Lil Rey Howery (Get Out, The Carmichael Show), the remake is about much more than spoofing the iconic 90's sitcom.

It is no accident that three of the stars were part of NBC's critically acclaimed sitcom, The Carmichael Show, which was canceled after just three seasons. The all black cast of the music video ties into this, serving as commentary by highlighting the recurring issue of minority representation in Hollywood. The video follows an episode of Friends line for line as they shoot in a room eerily similar to that of their 90's counterpart. Watch above.
