The issues plaguing the New York City MTA subway service have been rearing their ugly head in 2017. However, one MTA conductor is looking to combat those issues by rapping subway information to unsuspecting train riders. According to ABC Eyewitness News, Lemuel Hunter raps train instructions and information for passengers boarding the 1 train during his shift. When asked why he does it, Hunter responded by saying, “It started out as boredom. I’ve looked at the crowd, I have children, I have middle-aged people, I have elderly people and I’ll go, 'This train is a number 1 and we’re going ‘All The Way Up’ Van Cortlandt Park, step in and stand clear.”

Hunter says that he has to make sure that he gets all the proper information across to customers, but that he does it in a way that switches up the normal routine of just reciting directions. Hunter said, “I have policies and procedures to follow so I just tweak it and play with it.” Watch above.
