Retired boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi was most recently a member of the Conor McGregor camp as the UFC superstar's sparring partner. As of Thursday however, that sparring partnership is over. Malignaggi is leaving camp after a photo surfaced of his latest sparring session with McGregor that seemingly paints the picture of McGregor getting the best of Malignaggi. In a phone call with ESPN on Thursday night, Malignaggi said that he doesn't want to be apart of spectacle around the fight calling the situation a "fiasco" and "a circus."

Despite this, Malignaggi asserted that his decision was based solely on out of the ring issues and that he and McGregor hold a mutual in-ring respect. But this didn't deter Malignaggi from urging McGregor's camp to release the sparring footage at the appropriate time. He said, "I do want that sparring video released. The UFC's PI definitely has that video. I understand it can't come out now, but Conor, if you have any balls, release what really happened."
