With 15 NBA All-Star appearances, 4 NBA Championships and an NBA Most Valuable Player award on his resume, there are very few people in the world who can legitimately pose a threat against Shaq on a basketball court, and LaVar Ball isn't one of them. And with a certified platinum rap album and an album that went gold notched under the NBA legend's belt, it is also unlikely that Ball could put Shaq Diesel's mic skills to the test.

On Friday, July 28, the 45-year-old Hall of Famer drew first blood against Ball in the latter category. Without any warning, he dropped a diss record for the ages that addressed Ball's claims that he could beat him in a 1-on-1 matchup and proved that he's still got bars.

"Dudes talking loud, I don't understand/ walking 'round like they the true Big Baller [sic]/ How you think that? I'm bout to spit facts/ I walk in Reebok, in '92 I came out with the Shaqs/I've been doing this a long time, when you was averaging 2 points riding the pine/You see my t-shirts, you see my feet work; Big Baller Brand... that was me first," Shaq opened up the track by spitting. And he'd go on to drop plenty more jewels over Jay-Z's "Momma Loves Me" beat.
