Houston rapper Z-Ro was freed on $50,000 bond after meeting face-to-face with a state district judge in Harrison County on Thursday, July 27. Z-Ro had been in police custody since Wednesday when he was arrested on the orders of the county DA, who had been reviewing a domestic violence report filed by ex-girlfriend Just Brittany earlier in the week. As a condition of his bond, the rapper has been warned to obey an order of protection and no-contact order granted to Brittany.

On Monday, Brittany came forward after three months of silence to claim that she had been severely beaten by Z-Ro. In her report, Brittany cites a failed dinner date on April 29 as the reason that led to a Z-Ro laying hands on her over a two hours period, upon returning to his residence later that evening. Brittany says that the rapper slapped, punched and dragged her while threatening greater harm with a gun in one hand. She was reportedly able to turn a 20-minute audio of the incident to authorities, prompting Z-Ro's arrest.

Z-R has been instructed to come no closer than 200 feet of distance from Brittany at all times.
