According to CNBC, a man who only owned a $288,000 Ferrari for literally one hour crashed and destroy the vehicle. The man had taken the Ferrari 430 Scuderia off the lot, and went for a drive but ended up crashing not too long after. Reports noted that road conditions were wet and the car ended up leaving the carriageway and going up into flames shortly after.
Photos from the scene showed the car completely wrecked and lodged into a bank. Police asked the man what kind of car he was driving, and the man responded by saying, “It was a Ferrari. I’ve only just got it, picked it up an hour ago.” The South Yorkshire, England man was somehow able to come out of the terrible crash with only a few bruises and some cuts.
Despite the car being totaled, police went on to say that they don’t “believe excess speed was a contributory factor in the collision.”
