Recently, Donald Trump spoke to 40,000 people who came together for the Boy Scout Jamboree in Glen Jean, West Virginia. In that crowd, it was estimated that 24,000 boys from ages 12 to 18 were there. However, that did not stop Trump from moving away from the message at hand about the Boy Scouts and turning it into a speech about him.

Trump managed to attack Barack Obama, pointing out that Obama did not address the Boy Scouts in the way he did. Trump said, “By the way, just a question, did President Obama ever come to a Jamboree?” In 2010, Barack Obama sent a video message to the Boy Scouts Jamboree that took place that year. Trump answered his own question by saying “And we’ll be back. We’ll be back. The answer is no, but we’ll be back.” From there, took the time to attack “fake news” and “fake media” for not airing the Boy Scouts Jamboree speech. According to NY Mag, CNN actually aired the speech despite Trump’s claim.

The Jamboree speech lost even more focus when Trump went on to thank the audience for voting for him in November 2016, despite the fact that the crowd was mostly comprised of young boys. He said “So I have to tell you what we did, in all fairness, this is an unbelievable tribute to you and all of the other millions and millions of people that came out and voted for Make America Great Again.” The president also wasted no time with calling out Hillary Clinton, taking pot shots whenever he had a chance.
