High profiled attorney Lisa Bloom has announced that she will be holding a press conference on behalf of a man and a woman she will be representing in a civil lawsuit against Draymond Green on Tuesday morning [July 25] in Los Angeles. A press release disseminated on Monday cites the claimants as charging Green with assault and battery but doesn't give detail into their identities or the incident they are filing suit over.

According to ESPN, those close to the situation believe that former Michigan State Spartans jock Jermaine Edmondson and his girlfriend are the parties taking Green to court. They believe the incident they speak of stems from a confrontation Green and Edmondson got into outside of an East Lansing, MI on July 10, 2016. Green was arrested after allegedly slapping the college athlete during an argument over a physical altercation that they had reportedly had two days earlier.

At the time Edmondson said that he had stepped to Green because the Warriors star had grabbed him and his girlfriend by the throat at Rick's American Grill on July 8. But according to Green's people, it was Edmondson who played the role of the aggressor when he got in Green's face and began taunting him about Golden State's loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. Green got off relatively easy when the gist went down. After bonding out of jail, he skipped a court date and then eventually settled on a plea deal that dropped charges from misdemeanor assault to a noise violation and civil infraction.

Green has responded to Bloom's announcement by telling ESPN "I am just letting my attorneys handle the situation."
