If there is one thing fans can expect from an NBA Youngboy concert, it is that the place will be lit. It isn't uncommon for the entire crowd to be reciting each one of the Baton Rouge rapper's lyrics word for word while bouncing in one accord. But while the excitement that comes from watching him rock the mic is undeniable, it seems to have become increasingly apparent that beyond the music anything can pop off. Attendees of Youngboy's show at The National Theater in Richmond, VA over the weekend witnessed this first hand.
Recordings uploaded to the internet from the cell phone cameras of some in attendance captured a massive brawl breaking out mid performance on Sunday night, July 23. Fans are seen scattering to avoid the blows of close to a dozen people slinging their fists at each other only feet away from the stage. Youngboy stopped his performance momentarily and attempted to holler for the attention of those involved but was unable to settle the situation. The venue didn't appear to be well equipped to quickly handle the matter, with what seemed to be one security guard thrusting himself into the conflict.
NBA Youngboy is no stranger to drama going down at his shows. There was the shootout that took place when he performed in Mobile Alabama in 2016 and then, of course, the raid of his Austin, TX show that concluded with him being locked up on an attempted murder charge.
