Video of a traffic dispute that turned violent in Peterborough, Ontario this past week continues to make rounds on social media. The recording captures the moment a man driving a truck and a man on a bike, who both attempted to make a turn on Erskine Avenue last Tuesday, July 18, get into a bloody altercation.

The attack left the 74-year-old cyclist injured on the ground after the truck driver clobbered him several times with a club. The woman filming the beating eventually rushed over to intercede, at which time the man with the club came to his feet and began to claim that he was provoked. A number of good Samaritans stopped their cars and got out to assist, as blood poured down from the victim's head.

The aggressor, who has since been identified as 65-year-old David Fox would go on to leave the scene, but was stopped and taken into custody a short time later. He is due for arraignment in August, when he faces charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
