Tyrese looked past the laugh Swizz Beats let out after hearing an instrumental from Ty's discovery Seige Monstracity and doubled down on his challenge for the Bronx producer and his rival Timbaland to let the young guy compete in their beat battle, on Friday, July 21. While Timbaland has yet to respond to Tyrese's wager, Swizz has been going back and forth with the movie star, reminding him that his much-anticipated faceoff with Timbo is hip-hop, not Hollywood, and saying that Seige couldn't even mess with his young boys.
"Everybody needs somebody to put a little fire under their a** and make them a little nervous, a little uncomfortable. When n****s been number one forever, when they've had the crown forever, they think they're untouchable," Ty said, asserting that the veterans seem to have become complacent. He then drew up an analogy to a moment in sports history that will forever be remembered as a battle between great potential and greatness. "Jordan said you can't get points today for yesterday's game. Y'all won MVP already, many times over. Then came A.I., crossed over M.J.," he said.
