According to TMZ, a source related to one of the women reportedly being "held captive" says that R. Kelly pampers them with so many luxuries that they have become dependent on him.
The source says that she was 20 when she met Kelly last year at a meet & greet and was communicating with him for 6 months before she agreed to move in with him. However, the young lady says that she was free to leave Kelly's Illinois and Georgia home's whenever she pleased. She never stayed longer than a week.
TMZ's sources say that the women are being flown to Beverly Hills for shopping sprees, and Kelly buys handbags, lingerie, shoes, and spa trips for all their friends.
Although what R. Kelly is doing isn't criminal and there isn't any sign of abuse, there is a methodical and strategic process to keeping these girls in his care.
