The driver of a vehicle that was being pursued by police in the Bronx on Wednesday [July 19], led the chase down a busy 161st Street until a delivery truck got in the way of his escape. And to his misfortune, the crash occurred right outside of the Bronx Criminal Courthouse.
Video taken by a witness recording from his cell phone, captures the moment the driver found himself wedged between the truck and a car behind him. Droves of uniformed officers came swarming towards the vehicle to prevent him from getting away. Some of the officers were even striking the car with their batons as he attempted to force his way out of the quagmire.
The driver was eventually overcome by a number of officers surrounding his vehicle and was pulled out and arrested.
