Former teenage pop star Aaron Carter was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors after he was pulled over on the road in Georgia and busted for drug related offenses on Saturday, July 15. Carter's girlfriend Madison Parker was in the passenger seat of the vehicle and also taken into custody.

Carter was reportedly stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence. Upon searching his car police found marijuana. Parker would be charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers for protesting the interaction, and also incurred drug and paraphernalia charges. Carter was slammed with DUI and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects. He'd be released via bond on Sunday afternoon.

Carter faces up to one year in jail, a $1,000 fine, and a suspended driver's license for the arrest. He may also be forced to serve community service and attend DUI education classes, in accordance with Georgia law for first time DUI offenders.
