SLAM Magazine used its inclusion at the ESPY's red carpet as an opportunity to conjure up a bit of humor at the expense of the Warriors superstar forward, Kevin Durant. The world watched him maintain a stoic expression while getting roasted by Peyton Manning during the awards earlier this week. Dewayne Dedmon, Karl-Anthony Towns, Corey Brewer, Andre Drummond, Zaza Pachulia, Zach Lavine, Ros Gold-Onwude, Mike Conley and KD's mom Wanda Durant all joined Alexis Morgan for a moment to acknowledge how funny the Warriors star is through a reading of his tweets.
Over the years Durant has posted some awkward messages on social media, with some speaking graphically and some innocuous and others just simply puzzling. From suffering bubble-guts in bed to confessing that he likes "ratchet s**t," there was never a dull moment during the segment and the smiles that came to participants' faces made that fact apparent. While fans are not quite used to seeing KD with a lady on his arm, several of the tweets spoke of the opposite sex consuming his mind, with some tweets revealing his crush on Erykah Badu and Scarlett Johannson. Durant also appeared to acknowledge that Amber Rose was on his mind way back in 2010.
"I kno this is random but I seen u in LA and u got the meanest bald head ever!!! Better than mj, Charles Barkley n all dem!!" Durant wrote of Rose. The two recently bumped into one another once again for a celebrity softball game fundraiser, after which a recording of him appearing to glance over Rose's body surfaced onto the internet. The Warriors star looked shy in her presence, despite an inviting embrace from the media maven.
Durant's mother read off the final tweet in the SLAM video. Once she realized her son wasn't talking about food with his sexually suggestive allusion to a bacon sandwich, Wanda Durant gave a friendly goodbye and disappeared.
