DMX is facing decades in prison for some pretty serious charges, but thanks to his faith in the "most-high", he is letting go of any pressure he may feel from his situation. The former rap sensation granted an interview to reporters awaiting his exit from Manhattan Federal Court on Friday, July 14, and after thanking his fans for their support gave a brief statement which he's long been comfortable embracing.

"My life is in God's hands," X said. He had just got through explaining that his faith helps him get over fear so that he may take on any challenge head-on.

DMX is going to need a whole lot of grace from the almighty this time. The IRS is trying to nail him on tax evasion, and have reportedly traced back a failure to cough up $1.7 million since the early 2000's. Aside from under reporting his earnings several times, he is also accused of avoiding taxes by having his paychecks inserted in his managers' bank accounts, in exchange for cash. He could serve up to 40 years for the alleged crimes.
