The bbq grills, the beer, and the fireworks will be out in full effect as families across the U.S.A come together to celebrate Independence Day on July 4. Comedian Donnell Rawlings is encouraging Americans to have a great time indulging in the annual tradition, but does have a message for Black folks on this day. Leave the explosives alone.

"Black people are always blowing their fingers up. Keep your hands in your pockets and don't light fireworks because you will blow your motherf***ing fingers up. And you don't wanna be the dude out there that's doing gang signs with no motherf***ing finger," Rawlings told a TMZ reporter who caught up to him outside of The Nice Guy in New York City over the weekend. He joked that the custom of gang signs, in fact, began when some guy - who had lost fingers to fireworks - simply waved his mangled hand for a picture.

When asked why he'd advise only Black people to apply such valuable advice to their day Rawlings said: "White people never blow their s**t up. Only Black people. White people are good, white people do sparkles. Black people want dynamite, they want napalm, they want s**t that go bao! White people just want sparkles and snakes."
