Tiger Woods announced that he has checked out of rehab, after completing his 'private intensive program' to confront a prescription pill habit, on Monday, July 3.

The golf great had been checked into the Jupiter Medical Center since mid-June when he is said to have grown fearful that the fallout from his May arrest for DUI could cost him his custody rights. Woods' year began going downhill after he began taking medication to deal with the pain he suffered from back surgery in April. His troubles would culminate after he was found unconscious behind the wheel and taken into custody in late May. Woods was ultimately forced to reveal that he had a problem self-medicating in response to disproven allegations that he had been drunk driving.

"I recently completed an out of state private intensive program," Woods told followers on Twitter. "I will continue to tackle this going forward with my doctors, family, and friends. I am so very thankful for all of the support I've received."
