The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets before free agency, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Clippers will receive Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, and a top-three protected first-round pick in 2018.
Chris Paul opted in to the final year of his contract in LA, so the trade will be a one year experiment.
Wojnarowski said James Harden and CP3 were determined to play with each other.
