Rumors surrounding Carmelo Anthony's future in the NBA have been causing so much static in the press that even his estranged wife La La admitted to being lost on what the talk of today is. In the latest news, the Knicks are reportedly against the idea of buying him out of his contract on one hand, while on the other hand there are reports of Philadelphia or D.C. peaking his interest. Just the other day it was Boston. And while La La expressed having no issue with him leaving New York she only hopes he'll stay on the East Coast, because she has no intention of leaving the Big Apple. Then there are rumors of a reality tv show, which asserts that the Brooklyn native may exercise his no-trade clause and stay right at home.

According to Page Six, sources from within the television industry have been buzzing about Anthony shopping a series that would see him interviewing socially conscious celebrities and connecting within the local political landscape by attending community board meetings and going to rallies. A number of cable television networks, including HBO, have reportedly entertained meetings with the outspoken baller, one source claims, but wouldn't confirm how substantial the sit-downs have been nor how likely it is at this point that anybody would actually pick the production up.

Should Anthony actually get the green light to develop such a show, chances are he'd remain in New York City, where he spent his childhood, has a family, and eventually returned to play out the last few years of his career. Not only are Anthony's beginnings sewn in the metro NYC area, activism precedes him in the city, with his father Carmelo Iriarte having been a member of the militant Puerto Rican revolutionary group, the Young Lords Party back in the 1970's.
