Former MLB player Miguel Tejada recently returned from a visit to the Dominican Republic to discover that his home had been burglarized.

The alleged suspect, Mark Parker, was arrested after being accused of stealing over $10,000 worth of items in a three-month timespan. Reports from law enforcement say that a 60-year-old resident noticed that no one was watching the home and “saw an opportunity to jack all the fancy stuff that was still inside.” Black Sports Online also reports that connected sources to the former Kansas City Royals player claim that while they’re still tallying the total amount stolen, it could result end up being over $500,000 worth of items stolen.

Sources via Black Sports Online report that the items stolen consists of signed jerseys, designer shoes, MLB trophies, musical instruments, and patio furniture among other expensive belongings.

Parker has since been charged with burglary and grand theft.

Tejada was reportedly spending an extended period in the Dominican Republic to help his family relocate to a new location.
