Many rappers only focus on putting on for themselves, with many of them never taking the time to look back and take care of their family or ones who provided for them when they didn't have anything. However, Lil Uzi Vert made it clear during an interview with Pharrell that he takes care of his family. The rapper spoke about finally getting his grandmother a new house, saying, "My grandmom, that was serious to me because I lived with my grandmom my whole life. Even when I went to go move with my dad I came back and lived with my grandmom no matter what." He went on to say, "The last days of me living in Philly, my grandmom lived in a hood nursing home and I lived there with her. It was like a little space. But we was chillin'. It was normal to me, she'd be watching QVC all day. But nah, she got a crib now. She always lived in the hood too. Like even if she moved, she moved to another hood. She's in the suburbs now with a big house."

The rapper spoke how it was a good feeling, saying, "It is. Like I buy all this stuff and I feel good for like an hour. I did that and I can still talk about it today. I see what matters, I'm starting to get it."
