BET caught up with Safaree on Saturday, June 24, and got him to open up on his feelings regarding the attack that went down at the hands of Meek Mill's camp in West Hollywood only one day earlier. Judging by the 35-year old rapper/songwriter's demeanor and his choice of words during the interview, it doesn't appear that he is sweating the incident much. He posed that he understands where the Dream Chasers rapper is coming from with his anger, and is open to perhaps one day being cool, but is too busy making moves to slow down for him.

"I understand your um, your place of desperation and want an acknowledgment from me. Like, one day we can hug it out and we can shake hands and we can be friends. But, until then you will just have to watch me rise from where you are. And I feel like that is what is hurting some of these people's hearts," he said.

The confrontation involving the two former Nicki Minaj lovers wound up being the first of several spats of violence that took place over the weekend. Members of Migos nearly got into blows with Chris Brown and his people after the BET Awards on Sunday; only hours after the group got into a heated face-off with Joe Budden during the pre-show.
