It has been announced that the 2017 BET Awards has amended the night's lineup of presentations and performances in order to make room for a small tribute to legendary Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy.

The network contends that while contracts that have already been laid down will make for a tight slot that lacks the fleshed out kind of homage fans of P would have wanted, he will indeed be remembered come Sunday night, June 25. Barring any surprises, best friend and Mobb collaborator Havoc will share stage time with Lil Kim to evoke the Queensbridge representative one last time on the BET stage. They are expected to share a couple of personal words in honor of the late rapper, who unexpectedly succumbed to his long battle with Sickle Cell Anemia at the age of 42 earlier this week.

The BET Awards will air on Sunday, June 25, at 5:30 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time/ 8:30 P.M. Eastern Time.
