#BlackLivesMatter arguably has been one of the more powerful and riveting civil rights movements to surface since the 1960's. The movement has addressed many topics related to black people including police brutality, senseless murder, and even the President of the United States. Because of the major effects the movement has had on America, many celebrities joined the cause and tried to support. However, Halle Berry is not feeling the wave of celebrities who jump on the bandwagon to support the movement, but don't actually do any work to help progress.

During an interview while at the Cannes Lion Girls' Lounge, Berry said "In my world, I get so tired of people complaining about 'Oh black lives matter,' and they pontificate and pontificate about it, and I say, 'Well, what are you doing about that? It may not seem significant to you, but that's how we start. have you called your local politicians, have you written a letter?'" Berry finished off by saying "When they say they've done nothing, I say 'Well, don't talk to me.. because you are a part of the problem, because you are sitting here spewing negativity and complaining.'"
