Prior to Safaree's run-in with Meek Mill and the Dream Chasers outside of DJ Khaled's BET Weekend party at Penthouse on Friday, June 23, he stopped by Wilshire Lofts for a function thrown by MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters Foundation. This year the foundation is honoring Terror Squad Queen Remy Ma, which according to Safari would be a good choice, considering he believes she has been the best female rapper in the game between 2016-2017.

"Honestly, if we're really dealing with work this year, I don't think nobody's worked harder than Remy. And that's just keeping it real," Safaree told a reporter from Hollywood Unlocked, who asked him who he thinks should take Best Female Hip Hop Artist home at this year's awards. "Like, if you really just look at the year, and features, and what's been done from last year to now, definitely Remy."

A photo of Safari and Remy posing beside each other during L.A.'s current festivities surfaced online last night. The image received mixed reactions due to both being on Nicki's bad side; Safaree for the public fallout that followed their break-up and Remy, of course, for their ongoing rap beef. It is not the first time Safaree has appeared to spite Nicki by allying with Remy. Fans will recall the Love and Hip Hop participant posting to social media with a favorable reaction to Remy's "Shether" diss track when it dropped.
