Trump Calls Mexico the Second Deadliest Country, Reaffirms Border Wall

After a brief respite, Donald Trump is back to slamming Mexico and blindly asserting the need to "build the wall."

"Mexico was just ranked the second deadliest country in the world, after only Syria. Drug trade is largely the cause. We will BUILD THE WALL!" he wrote on Twitter.

Trump was referring to a report that 23,000 people had died as a result of Mexico’s drug war in 2016; 50,000 people died as a result of the Syrian civil war in 2016.
