Brussels was under siege again on Tuesday, June 20, but thanks to a group of soldiers a mass killing spree was prevented before much damage could be done.

The Belgian servicemen reportedly sprung into action after a small non-lethal explosion went off at Brussels Central Station. Witnesses report having seen a man who wheeled a suitcase into the facility yell "Allahu Akbar" before detonating the device. While the explosion sent commuters running for their lives no injuries are reported to have come of the incident, although the suspect himself would be gunned down.

The station was ultimately evacuated for the afternoon and businesses in the area were ordered to shut down as a result of the chaos. Authorities immediately declared the assault a terrorist attack and began investigating accordingly, as the region has on numerous occasions been rocked by such occurrences thus far in 2017. Not to mention Brussels itself had been actively dealing with the threat of terror since the bombings at Zaventem airport and Maelbeek underground station in March of 2016.
