Michael Phelps Set to Race Against a Shark for Shark Week Segment

Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps is without a doubt the fastest man in the water. But can he out swim a great white shark?

For the 29th anniversary of Discovery Channels Shark Week, Michale Phelps will appear in two specials. One is called Shark School With Michael Phelps, where he will learn about the creatures in the Bimini Shark Lab in the Bahamas. The second is Phelps vs Shark: Great Gold vs Great White, where the Olympian will take on the most feared creature in the sea. This is the first time Shark Week will be airing on the same week in 220 countries and territories. Shark Week's eight-day marathon begins July 23.
