Jay Z hopped on Twitter for the first time since March, when he logged on to declare the subject of his Kalief Browder documentary a prophet, on Thursday night, June 15. The hip-hop titan had been relishing in all of the love he was receiving from among his peers, distinguished artists from other genres around the music industry, executives and his massive fanbase, over his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. And he felt it only right to name some of his influences and inspirators.

"Thank you to all the people that have inspired me. Rakim, KANE, KRS, chuck, cube, Jaz, Em, Andre, Nas, big, PAC, cole, kendrick, chance, jayE," Hov tweeted. And in an effort to leave no stone unturned added "..wait," before going on and on for a dozen more posts, shouting out everyone from Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, Common and Drake, to Black people in general and lastly, Mac Miller.

Jigga also gave special thanks to 44th President Barack Obama, who recorded a special address congratulating Jay Z on earning the coveted distinction.
