NBA prospect Lonzo Ball dared to exhibit a confidence reminiscent of his father's during his appearance alongside LaVar on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night, June 12. At one point during their sit-down with the late night host, question as to whether he really believes he can take down Michael Jordan was once again posed to the Senior Ball, and once again the Big Baller Brand boss refused to back down from his claim. The question was then posed to the usually meek young Lonzo

“Could you beat Michael Jordan?” I’m not talking about in his prime, I’m talking about right now," asked Kimmel, prompting Lonzo to respond: “Right now? Yes."

LaVar initially made the outlandish assertion back in March. While he insisted to Kimmel that his size would be a huge advantage for him in a prospective match-up, Ball conveniently left out the actual skills part of the game and his record on proving he could bring it. Back in 1987-88 when the basketball dad was actually a baller with Washington State University, he averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. That same season though, MJ averaged 35 against the best talent in the world, as a leader on the Chicago Bulls.

Lonzo would have a 35-year age advantage on the basketball G.O.A.T.
