As he's given greater focus to television and cinema, Donald Glover has gradually wound down on his music career. And on Saturday, May 3, it became official that the clock is ticking for fans to jump on a final experience witnessing the multi-faceted artist's Childish Gambino persona. His next album will be his fourth, and final.

“Thank you. You’re in my heart,” Glover told a sighing crowd, as he closed out the second night of Governor's Ball in New York City. “I’ll see you for the last Gambino album.”

Saturday's show was his only scheduled show of 2017 thus far; a clear indication that his focus has shifted, and with good reason. Since the 2011 release of his debut, Camp, the "Redbone" singer has received many more accolades for his work on the camera than he has reaped from the mic. While his soundtrack favorite Awaken, My Love! single is enjoying its 25th week on Billboard's top 100, its success as his all-time highest charting song pales in comparison to the recognition Glover has earned as a two-time Golden Globe award-winning writer/producer/actor at age 33.

While no date or details pertaining to Glover's next project have been released, there is a good chance it will come around just in time to warm fans up for his full transition, which is anticipated to manifest with his role as Lando Calrissian in the 2018 Han Solo Star Wars spinoff.
