One would imagine that living up to the legacy of your father would be a tough task if you were the child of the Notorious B.I.G. trying to make a name for yourself in the rap industry. The pressure was on for young C.J. Wallace after P. Diddy introduced him onto the Billboard Music Awards stage as a “new groundbreaking” actor and recording artist destined "to change the game.” By week's end it had been confirmed that C.J. is indeed working on an album, during an interview in which he referred to the great expectations he'll face as "fuel" that'll work to his advantage.

“At a young age I always knew I wanted to do music, it was inevitable," told London's Evening Standard. While C.J. didn't shed too much detail on the project, he did state that it will manifest as a joint effort put out by he and half-brother Joshua Jahad Russaw. Since interviewing on Hot 97 as one-half of a group he and friend Tedy Andreas formed back in 2014, C.J. has moved on to embrace the vision he and his brother have fostered. Together they are C.J. and Jahad.

At the time C.J. was challenged to freestyle over the Ebro In The Morning airwaves, his skills came off suspect, but through acting, when he fittingly portrayed a young B.I.G. in his father's biopic, "Notorious." Whether he'll be effective in channeling the rap great on wax, however, remains to be seen.
