When it was announced that Fergie would be leaving Interscope Records to start her own label under BMG, even Interscope was supportive of her decision, writing in a statement that they "were all in concert and want what's best" for the Black Eyed Peas singer. But not everybody was feeling how she went about her business, and among her critics was BEP bandmate Taboo, who immediately unfollowed her on social media.

News of Fergie's transition broke only days ago, with a report confirming that she was looking to drop the follow-up to her debut, The Dutchess, [tentatively titled Double Dutchess] under her new imprint, Dutchess Music. Since her 2006 album, material has been sparse from the Cali crooner, although she's picked up the tempo in recent years, "L.A. Love (La La)" making waves in late 2014 and “M.I.L.F.$.” and “Life Goes On” spelling her output last year.

Fergie's jump to the Black Eyed Peas from her 90's run with the band Wild Orchid without a doubt set her up for the kind of solo success she looks to reap under her new venture. The group had already built a base with a pair of albums that predated her affiliation. But all in all, it was a mutually beneficial partnership, as her vocals added an infectious dynamic to will.i.am's production that saw them blow to become one of the biggest acts in music through the mid-2000s.

In addition to disassociating himself from Ferg, Taboo also posted a photo of the band's 1998 debut album cover, Behind The Front, which of course includes the images of will.i.am and Apl.de.ap and himself exclusively.
