It looks like Travis Scott might be slowly making a transition into the fashion industry. Recent news from Nike has it that a new deal ensures he's got one foot in the door.

The footwear giant has formally announced plans to have Travis represent it's brand in upcoming Air VaporMax Day to Night collection ADs. The Houston rapper has already begun modeling the kicks in shoots and sporting them at his shows. His decision to take them to the stage was not one that simply boiled down to sponsorship, he says. According to a quote pulled from a recent interview he did with Highsnobiety, Travis apparently really likes the Air VaporMax.

“When I saw the all-black ones, I thought, ‘These are crazy!'” he told the online publication. “They are comfortable and I was flying when I performed in them.”

The Air VaporMax Day to Night gig is the second involving Travis being tapped as a fashionista this month. The Houston Rockets brought the city's native son into design a T-Shirt that they'd go on to hand out to fans for their Game 6 match-up against the Spurs. Unfortunately, the “Houston Rockets x Travis Scott” limited edition tee couldn't luck James Harden and the gang to victory, in what ultimately wound up being their bizarre 114-75 Series elimination game.
