Whenever a public figure questions the accolades of one of hip-hop's indisputable legends, folks are always quick to take sides. Damian Lillard was no exception after sharing a very bold comparison between the late great Tupac Shakur and present-day wunderkind Kendrick Lamar in a recent tweet.
Lillard's built a bit of a reputation as a celebrity who actively engages with his fans on Twitter. The Trail Blazers point guard, who also raps under the name Dame D.O.L.L.A., tweeted on Thursday that in his opinion Kendrick Lamar is the new 2Pac.
"Kendrick the new pac... with more bars," he wrote before adding, "(And pac my fav)."
Predictably, the tweet generated a lot of responses, some of which Lillard answered. You can check out a few up top.
