Baton Rouge rapper NBA Youngboy's sudden reappearance on hip-hop's radar is the result of a deal he struck with the court, it has been reported. As a part of the agreement, Youngboy had the opportunity to have two charges pending against him dropped, in exchange for a guilty plea for the lesser crime. The judge overseeing his case would go on and grant him a post-conviction bond worth $50,000 after confirming his interest in the deal.

Youngboy was released from East Baton Rouge jail on Monday, May 22, sparking three days of celebration from his clique. In spite of the youngster having been personally warned by Boosie BadAzz to move on from the city, in the interest of protecting his health and career, the 17-year-old has appeared eager to get back into old form with his friends. Riding with the homies was what got Youngboy in trouble in the first place. Fans will recall him being extradited from Texas to Louisiana after being captured in the Lonestar State, following a drive-by shooting that authorities believed he was involved in November of 2016.

Youngboy was initially slammed with two counts of attempted first-degree murder for what authorities say was an attack he helped wage in retaliation for the killing of 18-year-old Keondrae Ricks. For the time being, he awaits a sentencing hearing that has yet been assigned a date, as he walks free with an aggravated assault charge added to his record.
