Recently, a man named Salman Abedi allegedly bombed an Ariana Grande concert, leaving 22 people dead and 119 injured. Now according to AP, the brother of the man responsible for the Manchester bombing has been arrested in Libya. A Libyan anti-terror force arrested Hashem Abedi, and claim that he has ties to the Islamic State extremist group and that he also knew of his brother's plans for the Manchester bombing. According to a Facebook post issued by the Special Deterrent anti-force, Hashem Abedi's arrest took place in Tripoli while the suspect was allegedly receiving a cash transfer from his brother.

The statement from the anti-terror force also said, "The brother [Hashem Abedi] was aware of all the details of the terrorist attack," and that Hashem made his way to Libya from Britain in April 2017. Upon being captured, the Libyan security claims that Hashem Abedi told the authorities that he belonged to the Islamic State, and so did his brother.
