It is expected that O.J. Simpson will see his 9-year prison term come to an end at some point in 2017. According to documents obtained from the Nevada Department of Corrections, that day may come sooner rather than later. While Simpson's parole eligibility date is listed for October, parole hearings are usually held three months prior to eligibility, which would mean Simpson gets to bid for release in July. The Nevada DOC will officially set the hearing come mid-June.

Simpson has been jailed in Lovelock Correctional Center since 2008, when he was found guilty of armed robbery for participating in a memorabilia heist at The Palace Station Casino hotel in Las Vegas in '07. His conviction was handed down 13 years to the day he was acquitted in the Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman double murder case. He was sentenced to a total of 33 years for the crime.

The NFL 69-year-old great has attended parole hearings in July of 2013 and 2014 but was denied both times.
