According to the Chicago-Sun Times, four people were murdered over the weekend in Chicago, and 34 people were seriously injured from shootings, including a 9-year-old boy. The 9-year-old who was shot was hit by a bullet around 8 pm on Saturday (May 20) in the Marquette Park section of the Southwest side of Chicago. According to a police report, the young man was riding in a car when an unknown shooter began to fire off rounds in the direction of the car. The police think that the shooting may have been caused by a previous incident between the shooter and the driver of the car.

A 53-year-old woman was found dead on the south side of Chicago from an alleged domestic dispute according to police. The autopsy of the woman ruled that her death was a homicide. Reports noted that along with previous two mentioned, 32 others were shot and injured or killed. The previous weekend, 21 people were shot dead.
