Donald Trump made history on Monday [May 22], when he boarded an Israel-bound plane from Saudi Arabia; the first-ever direct flight from the Muslim and Jewish states. But headlines were stolen by a subtle interaction between the President and First Lady Melania Trump, that instantly went viral.

Video of Trump reaching back for Melania's hand as they walked down the tarmac at Ben-Gurion International Airport appears to show her swat his grasp away. The former model has been a main focus of the media during Trump's Mid East trip, as reporters observe how she is received.

Upon the Commander-In-Chief's arrival on Saudi soil, the First Lady drew a mixed reaction for not wearing a hijab, as is custom when foreign dignitaries visit. Some found it an opportune time to point out a bit of Trump hypocrisy, recalling a 2015 tweet he sent out in which he criticized then First Lady Michelle Obama for not covering her head. "Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted,... We have enough enemies," he wrote at the time.
