LaVar Ball has been very outspoken about the status of his son's playing ability, as well as his worth as a businessman in the athletic world. However, his choice of words has led many to criticize him and his sons, with many saying the father is too arrogant. Recently on a podcast, Cleveland Cavaliers player Kyrie Irving commented on the Ball family's situation, saying that the outspoken father needs to back off and let his son "Lonzo be Lonzo." LaVar Ball did not take kindly to those comments from Irving, which led him to go on Fox Sports' 'Undisputed' and respond to Irving in a shocking way. During the show, Ball went on to say "How you gonna tell me how my son should be when you don't have a kid?" However, Irving has a daughter who was born in November 2015. From there, Ball made a comment about Kyrie Irving's mother who is deceased. Ball said "Maybe he don't have the relationship that me and Zo got. And I don't think he did. First of all, your mom wasn't there, so something's got to change right there. It's not the same. Lonzo can come home and see his mom and dad all the time. We've been together. Most people, with this talent, usually has a single parent. Not two of them together."

For those unaware, Irving's mother passed away when he was only four years old. Many felt that Ball crossed the line with his comments on national television.
