Recently, news arrived that former NFL player Aaron Hernandez took his own life while in prison. Now, reports have surfaced saying Hernandez was looking to share a cell with his alleged prison love Kyle Kennedy. While at the Souza-Baranowski prison, Hernandez began to ask to be moved in June 2015 almost two years before his suicide. Over five letters written to prison officials, Hernandez stated that he wanted to share a cell with an inmate that he was "close" to since the streets.

The letters were discovered by the Associated Press, however, the name the of the prisoner he was asking to be placed in a cell with was redacted. Hernandez's alleged prison lover Kyle Kennedy is currently serving time for robbing a gas station in January 2015. According to Kennedy's lawyer, he and Hernandez knew each other before being incarcerated, but their time spent together in prison brought them even closer to one another. Despite the claims of Hernandez having a prison lover surfacing, his fiancee Shayanna Jenkins does not believe it, calling the alleged relationship a "crock of bull."
